Cherie Nursalim

Vice Chairman, GITI Group

Cherie Nursalim is Vice Chairman of GITI Group, a diversified group with real estate development,
manufacturing and consumer lifestyle presence partnering with world-renowned brands throughout the
Asia Pacific region.
Ms Nursalim is appointed as the Special Advisor on Climate to the Government of Indonesia under the
Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment. Ms Nursalim co-chairs United Nations global
initiative Sustainable Development Solutions Network Southeast Asia and Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center
based in Kura Kura Bali and is co-founder of the United in Diversity Foundation.
Ms Nursalim serves on the Asia Advisory Boards for MIT Sloan School of Management, Columbia University,
Planetary Health Alliance in Harvard, Nanyang Technology University Business School and University of
Indonesia Research Center for Climate Change and NUS Medicine International Council (NIC).
Ms Nursalim sits on the Business and Sustainable Development Commission Global Blended Finance
Taskforce, IMAGINE, Partnering for Green Growth (P4G), Geneva Tsinghua Initiative and the World Future
Council. She is recently appointed as the trustee of the International Chamber of Commerce Merchants of
Peace Fund and formerly the Vice Chair of International Chamber of Commerce.
Cherie Nursalim initiated initiatives for HIV AIDS awareness in Indonesia for GT organization which won
awards from Indonesian government UNAIDS and International Labor Organization. She is a recipient of
the Ministry of National Development award from the Singapore government, Baiyulan Award from the
Shanghai government and the prestigious David Rockefeller Bridging Leadership Award.
Ms Nursalim received her Bachelor in Engineering Science and Economics from Oxford University, her
Master in Business Administration from Columbia Business School, and is a Harvard Kennedy School WEF
YGL alumnus.
