Aruna Sundararajan is 1982 batch, Kerala cadre Indian Administrative Service officer.
Ms. Sundararajan has been instrumental in establishing the IT department of Kerala way back in 1998. As Kerala’s founding IT Secretary, she envisaged and spearheaded the largest e-literacy Akshaya project. It has received global acclaim as one of the most pioneering and digitally transformed projects. Ms. Sundararajan was also instrumental in reforming the IT landscape of Kerala State by establishing the IITMK, and the InfoPark, Kochi and initiating the SMART City project, Kochi. She has served as the Country Head of the Global E schools Initiative of the UN and CEO of the prestigious Common Service Centre Project under the National E-Governance Project, Government of India.
Ms. Sundararajan is honored as one of the top professional women achievers by India Today in 2009 and Forbes Business Magazine in Aug 2012.
